One month to go.
Thirty days to make a difference.
From the overwhelming response so far, it would be easy to just sit back and look forward to the fun and festivities on November 14th-16th. There are going to be hundreds of alumni from all across the country, spanning all eras and by most accounts that will define this OX Alumni reunion as a resounding success. That said, I don't think we're done. For every familiar name that has come through my inbox over the past 6 months, I think of another who hasn't been heard from…
I need your help. Let's sprint to the finish. Each of these brothers is only one or two degrees of separation from the people reading this blog. Let's find them and get them to Gainesville on November 15th. Most of these guys are somewhere near Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, or South Florida; they sit in front of the tube every Saturday to watch the Gators play because they don't have tickets and that is what they have done for the past 10+ years. If for only one weekend, let's change that. Have them picture watching a night game in the Swamp, against the old ball coach, in the middle of a 300-seat Fraternity block. Make a call, send an e-mail, together we can make a great event even better.
The brothers least likely to attend are the ones who would benefit from this reunion the most. It's time to once again extend the helping hand.
Thank you all in advance. I look forward to seeing everyone next month.
Fraternally,
George
